Art Class on Social Media
For this class there is no art-making activity, however, we will discuss social media and students will create a power point about an artist who uses social media and how they use it. So at the end of class we will create a online group on the website, www.edmodo.com, where students can talk to each other as well as the teacher and turn in projects and critique artwork.
First, Students will go to www.edmodo.com on their Ipads:
Then, Students will create an account, log in, and add the class to their page:
Students may upload and share images on the page to ensure that it is working properly.
Next, the Artist Slideshow:
Students will create slideshows and upload them to the edmodo class site. The slideshows will contain:
Images of artworks by the artist
|
A short biography of the artist's life
|
Examples of how the artist uses social media
|
Students will upload their presentations to the edmodo site and will watch and comment on each other's presentations before the next class.
