Objectives:
Students will be able to demonstrate an ability to draw facial features through direct observation.
Students will be able to observe minute details to increase the accuracy of their drawings.
Students will be able to discuss and critique contour and portraiture with others.

Contour:
- It’s the use of lines to create an outline of the artist’s subject matter.
- It emphasizes mass and volume, and uses variation in lines to communicate different details.
4 Types of Contour:

Draw Contour by:
- Staring at the subject matter, glances at the paper. Focus on edges of the subject matter and the edges of it's details.
- Draw REALLY slowly, just draw exactly what your eyes see as they see it.
- DON'T draw shadows, convey form solely through lines.
