How Technology Affects Identity
This lesson connects Art History with the popular contemporary portrait style - Selfies. Showing how the way we portray ourselves through technology can effect other people's perspectives of us, and can effect how they interact with us. By showing how the French Royalty and Nobility of the 18th Century used Rococo portraiture to portray themselves and display their power and wealth, students can learn how their digital self-portraits, the Selfie, can determine how people see them and effect how they interact with them.
